Primary Care Sports Medicine
Richard Lawley, MD is a sports medicine fellow at Stanford University. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science in both molecular and cellular biology and psychology. He received his medical degree from the Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in 2014 and completed his intern year in general surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. Lawley completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Loyola University Medical Center in 2018 where he served as the academic chief resident during his PGY-4 year. He went on to pursue a sports medicine fellowship at Stanford University and will be graduating in July 2019. He is involved in educating high school students and medical students in sports medicine and musculoskeletal ultrasound. His clinical interests include ultrasound guided procedures, running medicine, adaptive sports, and regenerative medicine.
