Dr. John Sharp grew up in the Midwest and received his BS in biology from Indiana University. He received his doctorate in podiatric medicine in 1994. Following a two-year surgical residency rotation, Dr. Sharp worked in Indianapolis for 8 years with a large medical group. He received his first board certification in foot surgery in 1998 and his reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery certification in 2003. Dr. Sharp is also a fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS).
In 2004, outdoor enthusiasm brought him to Denver where he started his foot and ankle practice at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colorado. Dr. Sharp and his wife enjoy time together and travel. Life outside of work includes spending time with his family, dogs, road and mountain biking, mountaineering, swimming, hiking, and yoga.
Dr. Sharp’s work specialties include ankle reconstruction and trauma, sports medicine, and traditional foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Sharp focuses on a positive patient experience including full restoration of function and lifestyle.
