Bari Madureira, DO, CAQSM
Born in Denver but raised in New York, Dr. Madureira has come full circle to join us here at Orthopedic Centers of Colorado. She is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) trained Sports Medicine Physician with a passion for getting and keeping people active and working with individuals across the age and fitness spectrum. She was drawn to Sports Medicine by the ability to combine a broad range of treatments including exercise prescription, diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal ultrasound, and regenerative medicine. She is an active member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine & the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Prior to working at Orthopedic Centers of Colorado, Dr. Madureira obtained a Bachelor of Science at Tulane University in New Orleans, a Master of Public Health from Columbia University in New York and attended medical school at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in PM&R at Montefiore Medical Center in New York where she served as chief resident in her final year. Subsequently she completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital – assisting with sideline & training room coverage from the high school to professional levels. She has earned several accolades including resident of the year as well as the Leo M. Davidoff Society award for Outstanding Achievement in the Teaching of Medical Students.
Outside of the office, Dr. Madureira enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, reading and trying all types of spicy food.
